Now we have The Sims 4, and toddlers are presented as old enough for a bed. There weren’t any toddler beds in The Sims 3, they really had no choice but to sleep in a crib. This is another way to see how muddled the lines between life stages are, especially from one game to the next. The days where they’ll still sleep in the same crib they have since infancy are precious, though.Īnd now you don’t have to let your Sim’s toddlers grow up quite as fast. Some children still sleep in them after they’re able to get up and around, and may even be able to crawl out. Some are ready to boot their kiddos into a real bed as soon as possible, while others are more comfortable keeping them in a crib. The time frame of everything is up in the air during the early childhood years.Ī lot of it varies just depending on the child and their parents. There still seems to be a hole missing – and that’s undoubtedly the fact that babies are connected to their bassinets, no matter what. You can see their chubby little legs – and that’s all I need to repeatedly allow my Sims to get pregnant, regret it by day 2, age the baby up, and repeat. Babies on the floor, out in a snow drift, set down right on the sidewalk in front of the hospital they were just born in… it was a rough start to life.īut The Sims 4 babies are cuter, in my opinion. Sure, they weren’t tied down to a bassinet in The Sims 3 – but some funky stuff sure happened because of that. And it’s really a matter of personal opinion which Sims game did babies better. You can interact with babies more than ever, despite the fact that they are technically objects. You’ll be supplied with a bassinet immediately upon the baby’s arrival, to make sure they don’t start off their life neglected. In The Sims 4, they don’t give you a choice. That’s a rule not only in the real world, but in The Sims’ world as well. If that doesn't fix the glitching you could try removing all of your Mods/CC along with the localthumbcache. If you have a baby, you’ve got to have a crib. I would recommend removing this CC (along with the localthumbcache.package file in your “The Sims 4” folder) to see if this removes the glitching when interacting with cribs. These are not the names of the cribs/toddler beds in the game, so it sounds like they are CC cribs, and that they are glitching in your game. You mentioned "crib called senna crib on patreon" and "crib called the pandasama" and that you are having interaction glitches with them and your Sims. The animations/interactions for the bassinets are only newborns, the cribs are only for infants, and the toddler beds are only for toddlers. The other cribs in the game cannot be converted to a toddler bed, and that note is not in their description: Let me know what you guys BlandCo Contemporary crib or toddler bed that say in their description "Note: this crib can be upgraded into a Toddler Bed" "Note: this bed can be upgraded into a Crib." there's 1 crib called senna crib on patreon that is perfect height for a toddler but when you click on it its only functional for infants only, which i think whatever crib we see for infants there should another version to be functional for toddlers as well, i like sims 4 to be realistic as possible because in real life 1/2 year olds sometimes 3 year olds are still in cribs for a little while and then you put them into toddler beds when they are ready, why cant sims 4 be the same with that just like sims 3? in my opinion i think that change should happen 100% Hello, idk how you all feel about it but dont some of you wonder why sims 4 does not let toddlers have cribs? now i know there is 1 crib called the pandasama but i have the growing together update and when i downlaoded that toddler crib for some reason it just does not like it and makes things glitchy for my infant, whenever i would try putting her in her crib it would glitch and she would be on the floor instead.
